"This Past Weekend"

This past weekend I experienced a life lesson. You all know from previous posts that I was trying to get a new car, I saved up money and even borrowed money for a down payment/insurance. This is how determined I was to have a new car parked outside my house. After all the hoping and praying. Did I mention wishing. I was delivered disappointment everytime. I started to feel discouraged and I just felt like I was at an all time low. I got a wake up call this weekend. While at the dealership, I discovered what was hindering me from getting this new car. Atlast I know why? Me being the typical person who gets a credit card at 18yrs old and maxes out there limit and defaulting on payments and talking out loans for lesiures and late payments. I mean dam I was 18 with 2 credit cards and a retail job. I swore I thought I was balling out of control. I have realized my mistakes and I'm in the process of correcting my mistakes. The fucked up part is the amout of debt is soooo fuckn minimal and I could of paid it off like ummmm lets say now LMAO. I only owe $1,069.00. I was so upset lol. I'm like you mean to tell me this punk ass total is whats stopn me from getting what I want. Ughhhh what a fuckn turn off lol. I left the dealership not feeling sad or depressed , but I left with a piece of mind and a smile on my face. I now know what I have to do and to make that dream of me having my own house by the time I turn 27. This is a life learned lesson.

I went to 2 house partys on Sarturday. Meet some interesting people. I had to leave a lil early due to my brother getting locked up. I had to cut my fun and go sign him out. Thank God he is only 17,beacuse if he was 18 it would have been a different ball park. He didnt do anything tho. He was at a house party, when it ended a shoot out broke out and him and his boys ran to the car and a dude hoped in that they didnt know and the cops got a tip that a car matching there description left the scene. When the car got pulled over the unkown passenger got out and ran only later to find out the reason he ran was because he had a hand gun on him. So basically my lil bro was in the wrong place at the wrong time, as usual.

Update: I just had a monday morning meeting and guess what? My director just gave her 2 weeks notice. Now that raises alot of questions on my end? I'm a lil on edge I'll keep you guys posted. My company is in the process of realigning our business units. I'm still in shock.

Moving on let me tell you how one of my boys calls me at 2am this morning to come give him a jump , because his car wouldnt start. so after I sat in my car for 10mins waiting for it to warm up in 40degree weather. I get there and this bitch car decides to start up. I was so annoyed. LOL

I went to the Janet Jackson concert on Friday. I love me sum janet. She still got it and the concert was awesome. I reccommend it. For highlights see my boy G's blog on the sidebar under MY SMUTS (Thoughts and Confessions of a Jersey Brotha).

I just wanna say thank you all for the comments on my "Feeln Sexy" post and I appreciate it.

This weekend is Omars bday party at shawns and I know its go be off the hook. especially when theres "Get Right Juice" available.

The crew is going to see the Noahs Arc movie in NYC and I'm trying see SAW V on Friday.

I hope this work week doesn't bring anymore suprises. I just cant take to more right about now lol.

Oh before I forget if any bloggers would like to attend a Ski Trip that is beling held in Febuary check out this link www.winterexplosion.com. See you there. Fantasia is headlining the event. If yo need more info hit up my email.

Ummm yea the credit game is a crazy one. If they didn't explain it to you, this is how it works, and you'll be on your way to a 740+ score:

* have about 3-5 credit cards in your credit file.
* the "optimal" debt ratio should be between 30% and 40%, i.e., if your max credit limit is 1,000 bucks, don't put more than 400-450 bucks on it. 50% or more usage on the card decreases your score.
* Less than 10% debt ratio increases the score.
* BUT.... don't pay it off and not use it. Zero activity = bad. So use it once every few months for a bag of chips or something.
* Even if you don't use the card, don't close the account. It decreases your overall available credit and they think you can't handle it.
* Don't be late in payment. One payment late costs about 30 points in your score.

I know that's a lot of BS... but hey... gotta work the system. good luck.

As we travel through this thing called life, we are to pick up lesson along the way. The mistakes we make or the mistakes of others around us are to teach us and to hold us accountable as we grow. Why do you think our elders are so wise?

Pay off that $1,609 and keep it pushing. Pretty soon you'll be driving a the BMW, the Charger, the 300 or whatever else you have in your sights. Don't sweat. You now what you have to do, so it's up to you to put that plan into effect. I know accountants if you need help.

What the hell is wrong with kids! UGH! Why on Earth would that kid need to be carrying a gun. WOW! I'm so fearful for my kids it's a wonder I ever let them out of the house.

I just realized your blog roll is called SMUTS Your smuts at that! Too much for television.

If the car started or not, you're someone I'd want on my team to get out of the bed and come into the cold at 2 am.

I have been to every Janet concert since she started touring. I know it was quite the experience. Hope you had a blast.

Winer Explosion, huh?? Something to think about.

I want to speak to fucking up your credit at an early age. I too, at the age of 18 got a credit card. Mine was to by my mom an nice gold chain for mother's day. My sisters told me that they were going to help me pay off the damn thing, but I ended up paying for it. Then, when I lost my job, I was unable to make any further payments. Who the hell knew that it would fuck up my credit. I was a naive man child. I didn't understand the concept of credit...but I learnt it real quick when I attempted to buy my first car. Now, guess how much I was in the hole, that was stopping me from buy my dream car (keeping in mine that I had three thousand to put down on the car I wanted).

Give up? Two hundred dollars. Yeap. That's it. I was pissed, because it effected me even after I paid off the damn debt. Now I have great credit, a paid off 2007 Nissan, and money in the bank. I don't fuck around with my credit and have mercy on the person who does.

Peace.

Um, that's a lot of stuff going on for the weekend.

I'm trying to go see Noah's Arc too.

That ski trip sounds fun - but I can't go with any of my cuddlebuddies - lol. Why bring sand to the beach?

Awwwwww damn, you fell for the trap that most credit card companies wanted you to fall in...get a credit card as soon as you turn 18. But you actually didn't do too bad with your balance. I know people that are in their 30s and 40s still trying to dig themselves out of the hole they made for themselves when they were 18. At least you're able to nip this in the bud while you're still younger.

I doubt if I wanna see that Noah's Arc movie in theatres. I could barely tolerate the TV show.

I would have left with a smile on my face too! that amount can be paid off in time! lol

glad your lil bro was okay... and it's a good thing he ran instead of hiding the gun in the car and they all could have been charged.

glad you had a nice weekend. :)

Have you thought about getting one of those credit-monitoring programs? I have CreditKeeper, which hits me up with monthly updates on my score, what I need to do to make it better and etc.

Give it a try!

Debt is no joke. No Joke At All. I used to watch Noah's Arc[Before it abruptly ended] but for some reason I'm not excited about this movie at all.
